Established in 1971

William's Natural Foods has a history as far back as 1935. The original business, Sayer's Natural Foods was sold to the Blevens family in 1971. The name was changed to “William’s Natural Foods” after the owner’s first name.

Over the years it expanded from the approximate 1000 square foot portion of a building it occupied, into the 4000 square foot space it now occupies. In 1976 a second location was opened under the same name and then in 1993-1996, five more locations were opened under the name “Vitamin Adventure” which sold the same variety of supplements, herbs, cosmetics and fitness products, not including food. Finally, in 2006 the Roseville Vitamin Adventure was opened.

​Meet the Business Owner: William B.

The original business owner was Marjorie Blevens who purchased Sayer's Natural Foods for her son to operate. William Blevens took the "bull by the horns" and read everything he could to educate himself about the business he was taking on. From day one his philosophy was to sell more for less. He spent his entire business life seeking the best prices so he could pass them on to the customer. His wife Joan and his Mom and Dad were always active in the business, and over the years learned the same philosophy. Sadly, Bill Sr. passed away in 1994, and then in December 2008, Bill passed away after a long battle with leukemia. His business is still completely owned and operated by the Blevens family. His wife, Joan and his Mom, Marjorie, with a loyal staff of employees are working hard every day to keep these businesses successful.
